Where can I check availability?

To check availabilty click the 'book now' button on the left. In order to secure your booking please book through the booking portal on our site as we do not secure bookings via phone or email.

How do I get from Split airport to Split Hostel?

The cheapest way is to catch a Croatian airlines bus to  the City centre for 30 kuna. The buses coincide with all flights.

Get off at the last stop and the hostel is approx 300 metres away.

If you wish to be picked up by a taxi/combi please email (prices depend on number of passengers).

How do I get to and from Split by train?

For information visit www.hznet.hr.

Please note 'od' means 'from' and 'do' means 'to'.

How do I get to and from Split by bus?

Can I pay in Euro?

We can only accept the local currency, which is Croatian Kuna.
For exchange rates check www.xe.com.

Do you have double/triple rooms available?

No - our hostel  consists of 6 to 10 bed dorm rooms.
We can recommend private accomodation close to the hostel. Come in and see us when you're in Split for some recommendations.

Do your prices include tax?

Yes, prices include all taxes.

What's your cancellation policy?

We only accept cancellations via email by 2pm the day prior to arrival.

Do you have to be staying at Split Hostel to do the daily tours?

No, Backpacker Croatia tours are available to everybody.

Can you drink the tap water?

Yes, the tap water in Split is safe to drink.

Can I store my luggage before/after check in?

You can leave your bags with us 3 hours before and after check-in.
Alternativley there is secure storage near the train/bus/ferry terminal.

Can I get to the islands from Split?

Being the largest port in Croatia, Split provides great access to the Dalmatia’s most famous islands for day trips and onward journeys.

Is there a beach walking distance?

Yes, the beach is 10 mins walk from the hostel.

Are the dorms mixed?

What are check-in/check-out times?

Check in is at 11am and check out is at 10am.

Is there a lockout or curfew?

No, there is no lock out or curfew at our hostel.
We just ask you to please take into consideration cleaning times which are from 12pm-2pm.

Do you have lockers and/or a safe?

Yes,  lockers are free of charge and located in the rooms - we also have a safe deposit box for any other valuables that may need to stored.

Are bed linen/towels included?

Yes, we provide all linen - we have a no sleeping bag policy at the hostel for sanitary reasons.

Towels can be hired at reception for 10 kuna.

Booking in advance

We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

Once you have booked your bed you will receive a confirmation email please make sure to check all folders in your email account aswell as spam and junk email etc.

What is my personal information used for?

We do not use your personal information for anything other then for our accomodation/tour purposes.

Do I get student/membership discounts?

No, we do not give discounts for any type of ISIC, Under 26, or HI cardholder.

Is parking available?

Meter parking and car parks are available around town. You can also find small streets close by that have free parking. Make sure to read street signage so you are not shocked in the morning when your car is not there.
